I’m raising funds to help a large colony of beautiful, friendly gray cats that desperately need care. None of them were spayed or neutered, and the situation has grown out of control. Now they are multiplying, they’re all skinny, and many of them have health issues. It is very upsetting to watch these sweet animals struggle, especially knowing they are friendly and vulnerable.

I’ve already taken in one of the first cats we were able to scoop up, and the needs are serious. This cat needs a $1,200 dental, antibiotics for an ear infection, and treatment for likely parasites. I’m sure the same kinds of problems are present in many of the others too, which means this is going to be a long and expensive road.

The danger is immediate. One of these friendly cats was found dead in the street after following people and being hit by a car. I want to help them all, but I can only hold so many at a time, and we will need more fosters and adopters as we work through this colony little by little. If we don’t step in, we are failing them.

Funds will first go toward:

• Vetting the cats
• Spay and neuter surgeries
• Treatment for medical conditions as they arise
• Healthy food and support while they are in foster care

Once they are healthy, the goal is to get them into fosters so they can be cared for properly and have a chance at a better life.
