Cardiff Triathalon 2018

Donation protected
A few of us are doing the Cardiff Triathlon on 24 June 2018 to help raise funds for Rudy's Trust Fund.

Most of us have never done a triathlon before, so who knows what's in store!

Matt's son Rudy was born 6 years ago with multiple hemangiomas (benign tumors) on his face and body and in his brain. When he was just one week old, the hemangiomas in his brain bled and left him fighting for his life.

Rudy thankfully survived, but has been left with significant injury to his brain. Rudy doesn't walk or talk yet, has hemiparesis, low muscular tone and has lost his right field of vision. He also suffers from drug resistant epilepsy, and has had seizures every single day for most of his life.  He has over 60 seizures a week, over 250 a month.

Despite all of this, he is a very happy boy, with a mischievous streak, cheeky sense of humour and tonnes of resilience. He is a thrill seeker and loves music, ‘singing’, FaceTime and cwtches!

Rudy's Trust Fund is used to give Rudy weekly therapy (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speach and language therapy) and any specialist equipment that Rudy needs to help improve his quality of life.

We'd like to thank everyone for their support and sponsorship, it really helps to make a difference to Rudy’s life and will encourage us to get training!

Cheers
Matt, Mike, Sion, Owen & Tom
