Cardiff 10k for Vale United FC
Donation protected
Thank you for coming to my page...
I'm a musician who works a lot I Wales. A few months ago my very good friend (Sean) asked me if I fancied coming to watch him play for his football team Vale United FC. For me it's about a 4 hour round trip to go to watch them play but I couldn't resist.
From the minute I arrived I was welcomed by the gaffa and some of the coaches. Everyone was so friendly.
After a brilliant match I stuck around the club house and got chatting. I had no idea the club was completely self funded by the players and staff!
In the last 10 years they have gone from one team to four (1st, 2nd, two youth) they have a training pitch, groundsman, minibus, club house and a team that are dedicated to supporting the club.
Needless to say, I wanted to help grow the club. I have played at their awards day and seen them home and away as much as possible.
The next step is a new path around the pitch for disabled access and a nicer way to access the pitch during the wetter months.
I have chosen to enter the Cardiff 10k in September of this year and hope as many people as possible will help to realise my goal and making the new footpath a reality.
If all goes well with this challenge, I hope to do many more 10k for the club over the next few years.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my story and I hope it's persuaded you to donate.
Cheers,
