Help Cara "The Speed Demon" get New Wheels etc!

Donation protected
*UPDATE* When I set up this fundraiser, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that we would achieve the target funds for the new wheels at all, never mind achieve them in such a short space of time! The new wheels have been ordered in the boss's favourite colour "electric blue" of course, and I have been told they will be here before Christmas! However so many people have informed me that they haven't yet donated and still wish to. Therefore the fundraiser has been kept live for that purpose as many of you have expressed your wishes to donate to help with anything in the future that Cara may need. Again we can't thank you enough, and are overwhelmed by your kindness and support. Again all purchases made will be for Cara and I will keep all receipts and documentation so as to continue to be accountable and transparent. We will also keep posting updates with any developments. Thanks again everyone . CARA'S STORY SO FAR... My daughter Cara is an 8 year old girl who has a lust for life and demands to be independent as possible, much like any other little girl! Unfortunately Cara was born with severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy that affects all her limbs, after suffering undetected strokes in the womb due to clotting of my placenta, for reasons still unknown. Cara is unable to crawl, sit, stand or walk unaided.  Because of this Cara is non-mobile, and relies on caregivers for most daily tasks. She is a very intelligent girl though and misses nothing!  Cara has always wanted to explore her environment by herself like any other child, but this obviously proved impossible for her and was so frustrating as I'm sure any of us could try to imagine if we couldn't get about by ourselves! Much to my despair and annoyance, there is still no indication of the Health Service being forthcoming in allowing Cara to have a power chair!!!! However, thankfully 3 years ago, an English charity MERU came to Northern Ireland for the first time with the Bugzi power chair for toddlers and young children. This was an absolute life changer for Cara and us as it enabled Cara to get about for the first time independently! The absolute joy and empowerment on her wee face was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. She still uses the Bugzi as much as possible to this day, however she is growing out of it unfortunately.  Again we thought that she was going to be in the position of having no independence, and adding insult to injury it would be worse this time as she was already so used to having it!!! I was dreading it to be honest. But again thanks to the local Mae Murray Foundation charity, and an English company Tiny Trax Wheelchairs, a solution has presented itself just in time! Cara was delighted to recently trial a Tiny Trax power chair for older children which grows with them. This is the perfect next step for her independence journey! HELP NEEDED TO RAISE FUNDS And this is the part where we need as much help as possible! In order to get Cara her own Tiny Trax power chair, we need to raise much needed funds to purchase it. As with the majority of disabled equipment made to order it doesn't come cheap. Every little helps, and we greatly appreciate any amount, even a penny! We realise this is an especially difficult time for everyone due to the global pandemic, considering a lot of peoples' financial situations have worsened greatly, and it's not long until Christmas, so anything at all donated is so kind! Also please don't feel you're under any pressure to donate either. We don't want that at all. I have the quote breakdown for the chair for anyone who wishes to see it, and will keep all relevant records and documentation for anyone wishing to view, as all donations will be used for the intended cause only, and we are totally accountable and transparent. FURTHER FUNDRAISING IDEAS The set up of this Gofundme page is the beginning of this fundraising journey. It's the first time I've done this, so bare with me lol! I will be trying to come up with other ideas to add the to fundraising generated, and will keep updating everyone as best I can as I go along. CHALLENGES/DARES One of the first ideas I've come up with to make things hopefully a bit more fun for donators at my expense, is to complete and share evidence of any silly challenges/dares (within reason) that I receive in exchange for donations. As any of you who know me will know, I'm a big eejit and usually doing such things myself lol. THANKS IN ADVANCE!
