Hi, my name is Laoise Breslin and I am 21 years old, in college in DCU, studying childcare. I am incredibly grateful to be able to return to the Cara Girls Rescue Centre in Nairobi for a second time in February 2026. For me to make this trip to Kenya, I must raise a minimum of €2650.

Cara Projects is an Irish Charity (NGO), which supports the lives of young women and children that have been affected by various types of abuse. This rescue Centre gives these women and children a chance at having a better and brighter future. This charity provides a safe and welcoming environment for these vulnerable girls. I was able to see first hand how amazing the work in the Centre was in Feb 2025 and I cannot wait to help again on this trip!

The money I raise will go towards sustaining the facilities provided in the Centre, feeding, educating and nurturing the girls. I had the most amazing and eye opening experience in February of 2025 and I feel so lucky to be able to go back again and make a difference in the Cara girls lives.
