Car Fire Took Our Income and Belongings
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Kirsten. On 5/5/25, my car caught fire on I-74. My husband, our two children (5 and 1), and I were coming back from seeing my grandma in Erie to Columbus, Indiana. My oil light started flashing, and within 15-20 seconds, there was smoke everywhere. The car was surely on fire. Everything we owned was in that car as we were planning on moving soon to be closer to family. That car was our main source of income. We're DoorDashers. We made decent money, so not only did we lose the car, but our income, and a decent bit of personal belongings. Not to mention the emotional stress of the whole incident. I hate asking for anything from anybody, but that was our livelihood. Honestly, anything helps at this point.
