My name is Diego Ortiz Quintero and I would like to recruit donors to help me fund a free family portrait project. I will be partnering with neighborhood centers, food banks, and community clinics to host free family portrait studio sessions around New York City and New Jersey this Fall 2024 and Winter 2025.

My goal is to do this at at least 4 sites and give about 30 families per site their own portrait. You can join me in giving families a valuable physical photo and memory to keep. I will then collect 35 stories to print a pocket-sized book titled "Portraits Without Borders," which will be a celebration of immigrant families, and a recognition of my own family's arrival to the United States 35 years ago.

The total cost is expected to be $4,500 for printing and framing the portraits. I will cover the cost of the photo equipment, transportation, and additional materials.
