Our names are, Christine and Angela, and we are reaching out with a heavy heart as one of Candice H.'s older sisters and one of her closest friends. Candice is a 46-year-old woman who has devoted her life to her family—she is a loving wife, a mother of three, and a proud grandmother. She works with incarcerated at-risk youth, helping them turn their life around. Recently, tragedy struck when she was involved in a serious rollover car accident, leaving her with multiple fractures across her body, including a broken collarbone, a dislocated and broken wrist, and several broken ribs, among others. She is currently in the hospital undergoing evaluations and tests to determine the necessary treatments, which may include surgery.

To add to this already challenging situation, her vehicle, which she relied on, is now totaled. Candice has always worked tirelessly to support her husband and care for her children and grandson, while also helping to look after our elderly mother whenever she can. As she faces this difficult recovery ahead, we want to ease some of her burdens.

We have started this fundraiser with the hope of helping her manage two critical aspects: her medical bills and the urgent need for a replacement vehicle. Throughout her life, Candice has never had the opportunity to buy a new car; she has always opted for something more budget-friendly so that her children could have better vehicles growing up. We know that once she’s back home, family will rally around her to help out, but none of us can afford to provide her with a reliable vehicle that she truly deserves.
