My world has been turned upside down and I don’t know what to do; therefore, I am reaching out to you for assistance.  Over the past 15 years, I have always maintained two jobs to support my family, until I got sick.   My name is Scottie Rush.  I am a 54-year old father of two teenaged children, my daughter, is an avid softball player who is sixteen years old and driving.  My son, a fifteen year old who wants to drive, and loves basketball and electronics. My wife of 22 years, fortunately is still working but unable to carry the family expenses.   I am asking for any donation that you can provide that will assist me with my families expenses.   On November 24, 2021, I was t told I may have prostate cancer.  Then on February 9,2022 I was told I did have prostate cancer. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until May 10 of 2022 when I actually had surgery.  The surgery involved a removal of my lymph nodes, prostate, anal and bladder reconstruction. This devastate my life!   IN order to support my family, I have applied for short-term disability which will only provide $100 per week.  I have applied for emergency assistance with no feedback at this time. I lost my insurance as well and I have medical appointments and medication I take on a daily bases.   Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my statement, and any support you can provide.
