Hi all,
As some of you know, my little sister Jessie (23) was diagnosed with a very rare aggressive stage 3 cancerous tumor in October of 2021. The last six months have been jam-packed with appointments and treatments, and although she has been set up with a great care team at the Mayo Clinic, who have provided an unbelievable amount of support- for instance, they went to bat for her due to complications with insurance and got the approval to overturn their decision to deny two critical treatments due to her diagnosis and age.
The process of driving to Scottsdale for DAILY appointments/treatments have been very taxing on our family as you all can probably imagine.
She’s officially done with chemotherapy/radiation treatments, as well as surgery that went exceptional! ALL of the cancerous tumor (~2 GRAPEFRUITS!) was completely removed! And her entire care team was EXTREMELY impressed by not only that but by Jessie’s perseverance, resilience, and strong-willed spirit throughout this entire life-altering experience.
All things considered, the process has gone really smooth, but we have a lot of medical bills piling up. We’re starting this gofundme in an attempt to make a dent on the overall cost of the life-saving (and altering) treatments she’s received. We’ve accumulated thus far over $10,000
Anything at all that is donated, or just a share of this post is helpful, and is forever appreciated by our family.
Those of you that know Jessie personally know that she has taken all of this in stride and has, true to her nature, been extremely positive. Her positivity and dedication to her treatments and her recovery has no doubt allowed for such a positive outcome of such a terrifying discovery for someone so young.
With love and kindness,
Bailey, Jessie, and Family
