Cancer Support Fund Lebanon Express Fundraiser
Donation protected
This Sunday, I’ll be doing an Ironman 70.3 in Valencia.
It’s been a tough year for Lebanon — no need to remind anyone of that. Like many Lebanese living abroad, I’ve felt the weight of being away from home, away from my family, and often powerless to help. I turned to Ironman training to find some structure, some resilience, and maybe just a little peace. But while I’ve been pushing my limits, I haven’t stopped thinking about those who don’t have the same choice.
That’s why I’m dedicating this race to raise funds for the Cancer Support Fund at AUBMC in Lebanon.
This foundation does incredible work helping cancer patients in Lebanon get the treatment and care they need — especially the most vulnerable, who’ve been hit hardest by the ongoing crisis. This is a 7-day express fundraiser because I only found out this week that I could participate. But even in 7 days, I believe we can make an impact.
We take our bodies for granted.
We forget what a privilege it is to be healthy, to run, to breathe, to move — and that others are in a daily battle just to stay alive. I want to fight for them in the best way I can.
You can donate through my [GoFundMe page here] (insert link)
Or directly to the Cancer Support Fund [here] (insert CSF link)
Every donation counts — big or small.
And from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
A special thank you to the incredible team at the Cancer Support Fund, and to Hala Dahdah Abou Jaber, founder of the CSF, for letting me be part of this beautiful mission.
And on a completely unrelated note:
Yes, this is also me bragging that I’m about to swim 1.9 km, bike 90 km, and run 21 km. Pray for my legs.
