Cancer Sucks: Help Support Chris in His Fight!

Dear Friends and Family,

Life has taken an unexpected and difficult turn for our family, and my brother, Chris, has been bravely fighting gastric cancer since May 7th. What started as a routine endoscopy turned into the discovery of a tumor in his small intestine, later diagnosed as gastric cancer.

This past year has been a whirlwind of doctor’s appointments, scans, endless blood work, and difficult decisions. Initially, doctors thought he would need a complex Whipple procedure, typically reserved for pancreatic cancer patients. But, by a stroke of luck, his surgeons were able to avoid this, instead removing part of his stomach and gallbladder while rerouting his digestive system. After an intense recovery, he began 12 rounds of FOLFOX chemotherapy, which he's been facing with unimaginable strength.

Since his diagnosis, his and his fiancée’s lives have been consumed with treatment, stress, and anxiety, all while trying to plan for their future. Despite the challenges, Chris has shown incredible resilience, and together they’ve made the best of the time they have on his off weeks, cherishing every moment.

As many of you know, I also battled cancer, and I’m so deeply grateful for the love and support you all gave me during my fight. It’s because of your generosity and care that I was able to focus on healing. Now, I’m asking for your support again—this time for my brother. The financial burden of medical bills, travel to appointments, and other expenses is overwhelming. Any contribution, big or small, would be a huge help and deeply appreciated.
