For Aaron and Lynnette Workman:
On September 23, 2020 Aaron Workman, our step dad, was rushed into CT at Avita ER after losing so much blood from his tumor that he passed out in the emergency department. By that afternoon, Aaron was admitted into the ICU. The next day, was diagnosed with stage 3b Colorectal Cancer and they also found a small mass on his left kidney at that same time.
Aaron started intense chemo and radiation on November 6th to December 24th 2020. They were daily treatments for 6-7 weeks straight at Cleveland Clinic Mansfield.
Starting January 11, 2021 to April 2021, Aaron endured some very intense and heavy duty chemotherapy infusion at Cleveland Clinic Mansfield in hopes to elude any type of surgery to remove the cancer.
On April 22, 2021, Aaron was in FULL REMISSION FROM COLORECTAL CANCER WITHOUT SURGERY! He then went back to work in May.
On November 2021, there was a significant increased growth of left Renal/Kidney Cancer and a treatment plan started by the surgeons at Cleveland Clinic to remove this new cancer. The surgery had to be delayed until after Christmas due to a huge influx of covid in Ohio. Then on January 24, 2022, Aaron endured a six hour Cryoablation surgery to remove the Kidney Cancer at Cleveland Clinic main campus. He was again off work for recovery.
On April 5th 2022, after many tests, it was found that the initial Colorectal Cancer was back in full force. It was determined then that surgery was the only course of action. After the Cleveland Clinic Tumor Board met and made a final determination, Aaron underwent an intense and aggressive 5-6 hour surgery on April 18 to remove a lot of his lower abdomen at Cleveland Clinic main campus and spent a week hospitalized. He spent the next several weeks recovering and adjusting to a new life that he now must lead. Aaron went back to work on June 20th after being off since early April.
As you could probably guess, this has taken an enormous financial toll on our parents. Having cancer once would hard to bounce back from, but three times in a year and a half is about unmanageable. It was hundreds of thousands of dollars in treatments, surgeries, medical bills, supplies, co-pays, transportation, ambulance, and even just our mom, Lynnette, having to get housing etc., every time when Aaron had surgeries. There have been a few family members and friends that have helped and they are so grateful for that.
It has taken a lot for them to agree to receiving help like this, so if you have the means or even moreso the time to pray for them, it would be so very appreciated. If you don't feel comfortable helping on this platform, you can PayPal them at [email redacted], Venmo at LWorkman03, my CashApp is $BrilynnKay and I'll send it to them or their mailing address is 33 W Main St Shiloh Ohio 44878.
