Hi, my name is Aaron Holland
I’m 14 years old and I go to Samuel Ryder Academy, St Albans.
I have been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in an expedition to rural Cambodia with Camps International, where I’ll be living and working alongside local communities for one month.
Whilst in Cambodia I will be taking part in:
- Building wells to provide drinking water and water for farming
- Building toilets to provide better sanitation for the community
- Working on school improvement projects
- Building chicken coops to enable families to raise chickens to provide a source of income
- Taking part in reforestation work
- Constructing village clay water pots to maximise water collection
This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will develop many important life skills such as team work, independence, knowledge and experience beyond the normal life I take for granted today.
To raise money for this expedition I am doing a sponsored Mountain Climb of the Highest Mountain in Northern Ireland in April 2026 and would greatly appreciate any donations to help fund my expedition to Cambodia this summer.
I need to raise £5000 in total and I have already been successful in raising half of this.
Thank you for your support
From Aaron
