Camps International - Tanzania expedition 2025
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Nicholas,
I am excited to have been offered an opportunity to visit Tanzania by Hope Academy and Camps International to take part in helping the local rural community, wildlife and environment. All students are required to fundraise to help to pay for the trip and kit, hence the purpose of this page, 38% of all monies raised will go directly to the communities we are looking to support.
It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to live alongside local people and learn about their culture and being able to broaden my perspective on the world and hopefully leave a lasting positive impact on these communities.
The expedition is fully supported with the goals of helping the community, wildlife and environment in the local areas. I will be taking part in different activities such as planting trees, installing clean water supply and building new homes for vulnerable families, depending on the local projects at the time of my expedition.
Tanzania has a population of approximately 56 million people and 14 million of them live in poverty, living on less than $2 a day. As well as this Tanzania is considered to be one of the most beautiful but also one of the poorest countries in the world, expeditions like this really help to improve the situation of the communities in the country.
There will be multiple camps that me and the group I am going with will travel around, partaking in other unique activities such as hiking through the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and going on a safari, hopefully also being able to see Tanzanian wildlife.
I am looking to do lots of activities throughout the following year to show my commitment to the cause and to try and raise money for the trip. Any donations, however small, would be most welcome and appreciated.
I have already ran a 5k in Liverpool and organised a car boot sale in Warrington as well as doing fundraising activities at Tesco and Morrisons
This weekend I am doing another 5k run through Warrington information can be found at:
Thank you,
Nicholas
