Hi my Names Madelyn I’ve been given the opportunity to travel with Camps international to Borneo in Asia and Volunteer with my secondary school for a whole month away from home.

The camp is the heart of community I’ll be helping out in the wildlife reserves supporting local wild life and helping the community doing my bit to help the locals out of the poverty they live in assisting with education and deforestation a lot of the country’s natural forest has been taken over with palm oil plantation which has destroyed the habitat and endangered the orangutans amongst other species.

I will be helping with work which could include:

* building classrooms to improve education.

* Installing clean water supply’s.

* constructing marketplaces for communities to generate an income.

* building new homes.

This is just a short list but the work will depend of what’s needed when I arrive I’ll also get the opportunity to learn how to scuba dive in the open water.

This will not only help me to help others but will also help me to learn and grow as a person I’ll also be celebrating my 15th birthday whilst there thank you for taking the time to look at my page.
