Hi My name is Lucie and I have been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Borneo with Camp International 2026 with my school.

This expedition will last 4 weeks and I will be working with communities to help improve the environment and life chances of young people. I will help build facilities such as schools and help to ensure they have fresh, clean water by digging better drainage systems. I will also help to build school kitchens; this is where some children will get their only meal of the day. Other activities include building toilet blocks, bridges and beach clean ups.

Part of the trip also includes taking part in a deforestation programme to help replenish commercial deforestation by helping communities grow crops.

I am extremely excited and grateful for this opportunity and will be raising all funds by myself. I will be doing lots of things to fund raise including the boxing day dip, bake sales, sponsored walks and hikes. I also have a Saturday job which I will use to help pay for the trip.
