Hi, I’m Amber, I am a 17 year old A Level student from Kesgrave, Suffolk. I have recently been given the opportunity to join Camps International’s Jambo Kenya Expedition in July 2023. During this month long trip to the Marungu Hills and Tsavo, I will get involved in community and environmental work (e.g refurbishing schools, delousing animals and constructing protective fences to name a few!). The camps are situated within the heart of rural communities so I will be fully immersed in village life. I am really keen to travel and Kenya is perfect because of my grandparents family ties and the opportunity to make a difference to communities in this country.

An expedition like this is a once in a lifetime experience. It will take me totally out of my comfort zone (eco drop toilets!) and help me grow and develop a whole new perspective of the world.

To go on this trip I need to raise £3000 for which I am organising a number of activities including bake sales and fundraising evenings. I would be really grateful if you are able to help me with a contribution towards this goal.
