Camino for a Cause: Families of Addicts

Tax deductible
In 2012, I walked the Camino de Santiago  on the Camino Francés . In 2017 I did it again, with my brother and my father. On May 1, 2020, my father and I were supposed to start walking the Camino Portugués  on the coastal route  from Porto. Obviously that plan has changed.

Instead, I'll be walking a "Dayton Camino" over the month of May, covering the ~280 km (~174 miles) of the route we'd planned to take in the neighborhoods, bike paths, and parks in the Dayton area. I'm using this walk as a Camino for a Cause to raise money to benefit FOA Foundation (FOA Families of Addicts).

Any donation will help make an impact.

FOA Families of Addicts 's mission is to educate, empower and embrace families, friends and individuals struggling with addiction by providing support and promoting recovery. This is especially important as people are affected by the coronavirus pandemic, impacting their ability to reach out for help with mental health and addiction.

Addiction doesn't take a break, and neither does FOA. Check out their brochure  and Facebook page.

Please consider donating any amount you can!

Or if you'd like some suggestions consider donating an amount per kilometer or mile: $17.40 would be a donation of $0.10 per mile; $28 would be a donation of $0.10 per km; $174 would be $1 per mile and $280 would be $1 per km!

If you prefer, you can donate directly to FOA: https://foafamilies.networkforgood.com/projects/90477-us-helping-us-in-2020
