As I write this, my heart is breaking...

Our son, Cameron has been battling a rare kidney disease since the 4th grade, and is now 38 years old. He has been seen by many doctors, endured tests, procedures, & surgeries, always holding strong. His first and only kidney transplant at the age of 13, failed in 2014; he has been suffering on dialysis ever since. At times, in the past few years, his body developed ascite He has had to endure painful paracentesis procedures to remove the fluids.
Still yet, Cameron has kept dreaming of a normal life......

He was placed on the transplant list in Decemeber of 2023, giving him hope. On June 18th 2024, he received a call from the transplant team, stating there was a matching kidney. He was admitted that evening to the hospital for surgery the next morning. (The picture you see above was taken right before he was to go into surgery).
The surgeon examined Cameron, and shared how he would drain the ascites, and surgically connect the kidney. He signed paperwork for the new kidney. As Cameron was being taken to pre-op, another doctor from the team stopped the kidney transplant because he thought it was too much of a risk. They contacted him by voicemail, that he had been taken off the transplant list.
(The picture you see above was taken right before he was to go into surgery). A chance at a new life was stripped from him....

Cameron has known nothing but struggle, and time is precious! We truly don't know how much time he has left as we watch him decline physically & emotionally daily. Our goal is to love him, support him, and find other doctors and a medical facility to help save his life.
To anyone who has already given financially, "THANK YOU!" His disability is so minimal it's not enough to live on. His car is a 2003 model needing to be replaced soon, and there are needs for money for housing .
We are hoping to put him on a transplant list, but we need your help!
We believe in the power of prayer, and that we can find the right doctors and resources to save Cameron's life! We ask that you consider sharing this post with friends and on social media sites. The more you share, the more chances we have to make the right connections.
Thank you for caring and making a difference!
