Hi everyone,

My name is Camelia Sehat. I am a registered nurse with a background in public health, trauma work, and holistic wellness coaching. I’m honored to be joining a medical mission to Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso in Ecuador, where I will be assisting in the operating room, pre- and post-operative areas, and providing education to local nurses.

This mission focuses on pediatric and arthroscopic surgeries, delivering much-needed surgical care to children and patients from underserved communities across southern Ecuador. In addition to assisting in the operating room, I will be working closely with patients before and after their procedures, ensuring they receive proper care and support during recovery. I will also be training and supporting local nurses, helping to strengthen their skills and enhance patient care long after our mission ends.

Last year, I had the privilege of participating in two medical missions: in Armenia and Nepal. In both places, especially Nepal, I saw firsthand how access to surgical care can transform lives. In Nepal, I served as care coordinator, operating room, and post/pre-operation nurse. In Armenia, I served as the Nurse Educator Lead, where I worked closely with administration and local nurses to provide hands-on training and education. These experiences deepened my commitment to global health and the power of collaborative, hands-on medical outreach.

I am raising funds to cover travel, accommodations, and medical supplies for nurses, ensuring we have the resources needed to provide the best possible care and education. Any contribution, big or small, will directly support this life-changing work.

I have personally covered the costs of my past missions because I believe so deeply in this work. This time, I’m reaching out for support so I can continue serving these communities, as I cannot do it alone.
