Cambodia World Challenge - 2019
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
With the help of World Challenge, we are going on an expedition to Cambodia, this December, for 2 weeks. As part of our trip, one of the requirements is raising half of the funds ourselves. This GoFundMe page will be a place where others can help us by pledging money to aid repairs, new school equipment and other necessities for the rural community we will be visiting; The Greenway School in the Samraong District of North-Western Cambodia, one of the poorest districts in Cambodia.
Children at the Greenway School attend for supplementary education lessons which include; English, Mathematics and Commuter Literacy. This supplementary education is vital for children in Cambodia as the government education system is only able to support half days of teaching for all students, due to shortages of schools and qualified teachers following the genocide. Our work at the school will entail constructing fences to border their new extension buildings, as well as constructing working bathrooms with sinks for proper sanitation. All the money that we raise through our collective endeavours will go towards this work and ensuring impoverished Cambodians have access to free education, as well as purchasing new stationary, toys and other gifts for the children whilst in country. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
Our thanks and ‘Saum Arkoun’
