I have now completed my sponsored litter pick - I did 36 picks, walking 176.75 km and picking up 287.93 kg of rubbish. I have now closed donations to my gofundme but if you have been inspired by my efforts you could make a donation to a charity of your choice - or go out for a litter pick where you live it's actually quite good fun and very rewarding.
My name is Isobel and I am going on a school trip to Cambodia in 2023 - we will be carrying out 3 weeks of community work (such as building school kitchens, building kindergartens, reforestation programmes, toilet block installations, building bridges and beach cleanups) and in our final week we will be trekking through the Cambodian jungle.
My main activity is a year long sponsored litter pick mainly around Taunton/Somerset.
My aim is to go out regularly for a couple of hours.
This picture is from our pick on fathers day along the River Tone.
Dad has also created a google map of all our picks which you can see here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1A3jxWm-PdRQat33PxCMhiskMpu3BFGk&usp=sharing
The total cost of the trip is £4300 and I want to raise as much of that as I can - I hit my original target of 3000 - but if I can get close to the total that would be fantastic. Mum & Dad are funding any shortfall and my kit and vaccinations!
As well as the sponsored litter pick I am also putting my savings towards the trip and will be asking for donations for my Birthday and Christmas presents up until the trip.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my fundraiser!
I feel like I ought to point out the Fundraiser is in my Dad's name as you had to be over 18 to be able to withdraw the funds!
