Hello, my name is Brenna,

I’m about to take part in an experience that goes beyond simply visiting another country, it’s a chance to step outside my comfort zone and be part of something that genuinely supports and uplifts communities.

Soon, I will be travelling to Cambodia to take part in a hands-on volunteering expedition. During this time, I’ll be supporting projects that aim to improve everyday life for local communities, including helping to develop essential infrastructure and community spaces.

However, what makes this journey especially important to me is my focus on raising awareness for individuals with care and support needs. This is something very close to my heart due to my own family experiences. I’ve seen first-hand the challenges that people can face, and it has inspired me to use this opportunity not only to help others abroad but also to better understand, advocate, and raise awareness for those who need support in all communities.

Through my fundraising efforts, I aim to highlight these challenges and bring greater awareness to the importance of care, inclusion, and understanding. The insight I gain both at home and in Cambodia will help me broaden that perspective even further, allowing me to return with knowledge and experiences that can contribute to making a bigger difference.

This journey is not just about what I can give, but also what I can learn about people, resilience, culture, and the importance of support systems in every society.

To make this possible, I am raising funds to help cover travel, materials, and the support needed for the projects I’ll be involved in. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go towards creating a positive impact, both for the communities I will work with and for raising awareness of care and support needs more widely.
