Cambodia 2025 and Save The Children

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Cambodia in 2025 with the company Camps International. During this 4 week trip not only will i learn more about the country’s important history and cultural traditions, but also help the rural communities through vital project work such as helping to restore and build schools and houses, as well as teaching young children and replanting trees in hopes to regrow the cambodian forests. Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Asia, mostly unseen by tourists. Its population often left vunerable due to seasonal food shortages and high unemployment. In this visit i hope to provide as much help as i can to the communities we visit through our project work with the company Camps International.

I have also chosen to donate some of the money i hope to raise towards the charity Save The Children. Their aim is to provide children all over the world with the access to education, something which is often taken for granted. One of the many ways in which they are helping is through giving support to thousands of girls in manyndifferent countries so that they can stay in education. I chose Save the Children as I believe education is something every child should have access to no matter the situation.

As A way to raise money my friends and I are going to be walking the three peaks in July hopefully finishing it in 10 hours x
