Hi my name is Cal and I am 15 years old.

I have been given the opportunity by my school and camps international to volunteer in Cambodia for 4 weeks from June-July.

On this expedition I will be working close along side the Cambodian communities, learning about their culture and offer support in many ways like:

-building water wells, bathrooms and chicken coops

-improving the education taught in Cambodian schools

-fixing up old buildings in their community

-teaching them the English language to better communicate with others to gain more support with their development

Along side this I get to spend a week hiking through the natural landscape in the humid summer, spend my 17th birthday with the Cambodian people and my peers, learning about their culture, the history of famous temples, and many more opportunities.

In order to take part in this once in a life time expedition I need to fundraise a sizeable amount of money £6000 (to cover the cost of travel, the kit, and the camps resources).Donating to my cause will not only allow me to help others, but it will give me an opportunity to grow as a person and develop important skills that will help me later on in life, and give me an insight into the specific area I want to work in when I leave school.
