Callum's Journey

As many of you know, Claire and Chad welcomed their baby boy on October 17, 2022. As exciting as it was to welcome this little bundle of joy, Callum Sell, was born at only 25w 4d old, classifying him as a micro-preemie. Due to Callum being born 4 months early, he had and has a very long road ahead of him.

Callum was born at Sunnyside Medical Center and was able to remain stable in their care for 28 days. As he continued to grow, it became more and more apparent that Callum had severe chronic lung disease and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. He was eventually transferred to Doernbecher Children's Hospital, where he is currently being cared for. While Callum is growing stronger every day, it is still looking like he will stay at Doernbecher's well beyond his due date (Jan 26). Once Callum does get to go home, he will need extensive care and 24/7 monitoring for quite some time.

If you know Claire and Chad, then you know neither of them would ask for help, nor would you know the amount of stress they are under. Talking to Claire every day, I know what keeps them up at night and that is making sure they can provide for Callum, especially when he makes his arrival home. To ease the stress, I wanted to create this GoFundMe to give them some peace of mind about what's to come in the next several months.
