♥️ Callum’s companion boxer dog ♥️

Hello, I’m Rachel and I want to raise funds for my son Callum, who has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

My dear Callum has had ALL since he was 16, and is now facing a very uncertain future.

A constant thing in his life these past 6 years has been our gorgeous boxer dog, Ruby. No matter what he was going through, Ruby would be at his side, just there on the days she knew she shouldn’t jump all over him because he felt poorly, and ready to play when he felt up to it.

Always waiting by the door for him when he came back from hospital stays and appointments….also .avidly awaiting to see if he’d bought her something back in a brown bag from a certain fast food chain!!

Sadly, Ruby became very poorly herself a few weeks ago, but it didn’t stop her sitting with him, or wagging that tail when she saw him.

Last Friday, the 24th February, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to help her over rainbow bridge.

We are heartbroken, but particularly Callum, as he has spent most of his time at home with her. She was more than a dog…..she was his best friend, his companion who he would tell his worries to, she couldn’t do anything except comfort him….but that was invaluable.

We don’t know what the future holds for our family, but I want to make it as happy as possible for Callum, and his younger brother, Ethan by raising some money , not to replace Ruby, but to find him that new companion that can fill some of that massive hole that she’s left.

Callum would use any monies raised to fund finding another boxer to be his best pal, and help towards their care and upkeep.

So, if you can find it in your heart to help my dear boy find another loyal furry friend, I will be forever grateful.

We have owned boxers for 20 years and the house is so very lonely without one.
