Callender Family Adoption

Help us raise the rest of the money to complete our adoption process!
Adoption is something that we have always wanted to do. We just thought we would start a family and look to adopt later down the track….however we discovered there was another journey for us to embark on!
Two years into the journey of starting a family we found out that Naomi had uterus cancer. Naomi was put on treatment, however the treatment wasn’t able to fight the cancer the way we had hoped it would. In talking to specialists, after 6 months of treatment, they strongly encouraged surgery to remove the cancer as we had the risk of it spreading to more parts of Naomi's body.
As we prayed about what to do we believed that God would make a way for us to have family. God continued to work on both of our hearts, and spoke very clearly that adoption was not second best for us, that this was his best plan for our family. The word that we continued to get through this time was that God wanted to redeem our situation and family.
At that time we believed with this word of redeeming that it would be best for Naomi to have surgery to take away the risk of the cancer spreading knowing that it would also end the possibility of starting our family this way.
We are excited to say that Naomi is now 100% cancer free and we are full of faith and anticipation for how God wants to weave our story of family and adoption together.
We have been saving and raising money to begin our adoption for the past 1 ½ and are happy to say we have raised enough to get us to this stage….which is active and currently presenting to birth Mom’s and possible matches!
We have been able to raise $15000 so far and need to raise another $35000 as we continue in this adoption journey. We need to have this money for payment to the agency once we are matched.
