Jones women - Dublin mini-marathon - for Callan
In October 2024, Callan Jones, our dynamic 3-year-old cousin, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer (rhabdomyosarcoma) which has turned his life upside down. Living in Scotland with his parents - Gavin and Ailsa - Callan’s unimaginably tough treatment is underway, and his strength and resilience inspire us every day.
As his family in Ireland, we’re coming together to support him in every way we can. We know that the financial strain of his treatment will be ongoing, so we’ve decided to take on a series of challenges to raise funds as one way of showing Callan the strength of our support.
- First up: the Jones women take on the Dublin Mini-Marathon! From running to walking, we’re doing it all – a team effort for every age and stage. It's going to be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what Callan is experiencing.
- To support those in Ireland experiencing similar challenges, we will share 15% of our total with the Irish Cancer Society.
Your support means a great deal to us! Whether it’s donating, sharing, or cheering us on, you’ll be helping us provide the financial relief that will allow Callan’s family to focus on what really matters: his treatment and his recovery. We will collect the funds and transfer directly to his parents - Gavin and Ailsa- so they have no admin to worry about.
Callan has kept smiling and dancing through the hardships he’s facing, and this is one small thing we can do to show him that we’re with him every step of the way.
