Calico Cafe Repairs

Tax deductible
Will you help the Calico Cafe get back up and running? A water pipe burst in the attic and the water soaked insulation collapsed a large area of the ceiling, covering the dining area!
The Calico Cat Cafe is a one-of-a-kind culinary and cat adoption program of the nonprofit Community SEEDS that offers job training to men and women who have autism and other disabilities - and also has a cat adoption lounge (separate from the dining area) to find forever homes for rescue cats. The cafe is a place for belonging, for people and for cats! The cats provide a therapy rich activity for people of all abilities, and the cafe offers job training for our vulnerable citizens.
This is the only cat cafe in the U.S. offering a job training program for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

If everyone who reads this will make a donation of any amount, it will put us on our way to getting the cafe back in operation. Your donation will make an impact!  We need to cover the deductible and costs above what insurance will pay while we are closed for business for repairs over the next moth or so.  Cats still need food and litter. Most of the ceiling in the dining and kitchen areas need to be replaced, new insulation installed, and cabinets, flooring, and stock replaced. And then there's the employee's who can't come to work during this time.  As we learn more about the costs, we may need to adjust the amount of funding as we go along. We had already planned for an outreach for funds to expand our include a full espresso bar to offer more training opportunities - and now would be a good time to include that project while we're doing repairs.

Your help is appreciated by all of our staff and patrons who benefit so much from the cafe being open. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to our community.More information about Community Seeds: Community Seeds is dedicated to creating job, training, and social activities for men and women in the Yakima Valley who have intellectual and developmental disabilities through social enterprise. https://seedsyv.wixsite.com/calicocafe
