Hello, I'm Kelsey. I started this GoFundMe for my longtime friend Cales (Caleigh) and her precious baby boy, Jahett Zander.

After a few long months of hospital visits and close monitoring by specialists, on December 9th, Caleigh went to the IWK because she had a gut feeling that something wasn't right. She was only 25 weeks pregnant. The medical staff told her that she would stay to be monitored, but within five short hours, she was rushed in for an emergency c-section, and Baby J made his debut into this crazy world.

Weighing in at only 555g (1.224 lbs) at birth, this sweet little guy continues to stay strong, just like his mama. Those of you who know Caleigh, know that she is one of the strongest women around. She is not one to ask for help, but she needs all the support she can get right now.

Caleigh is a Registered Massage Therapist and does not qualify for EI or Maternity leave. Due to her c-section, she is unable to work, and let's be honest, who would expect her to go back right now even if she was physically able? Driving is also a restriction at this time. Cooking, cleaning and any self-care are hard enough tasks as it is with a newborn, but when you add the extra emotional strain and discomfort of not being able to be in your own home, it is next level.

Baby J has an extremely long road ahead of intensive medical treatment and needs his mama by his side as much as possible. Specialists will continue to do whatever they can to keep Baby J strong. We need to rally to do the same for Caleigh.
