Caleb McGonagle's Eagle Scout Project

Hello,

My name is Caleb McGonagle, and I am an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 702 in Reading. For my Eagle project, I will build a 50-foot boardwalk for the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. The path that the boardwalk will go over connects the Hospice House with the St. Athanasius Church parking lot. Parking at the Hospice is very limited, and a lot of visitors have to park in the church parking lot and take the path over to the Hospice. However, the path can flood and freeze in the winter, making it dangerous for visitors to use it. The boardwalk I will build will make it so the path is safe, even after it rains.

The Sawtelle Hospice House takes incredible care of people in their final days; this project will make the process of visiting their loved ones there easier.
