Help Caleb and Hannah Adopt a Baby!
Donation protected
WE ARE ADOPTING A BABY IN LESS THAN A WEEK!
We’re so excited to share this crazy update in our families adoption journey. The last time I posted, I mentioned that we could be matched with an expectant mom days or months from now. And while we hoped we would get matched quickly, we had absolutely no idea that just 12 days after becoming an active waiting family, Caleb and I would get THE CALL that an expectant mom has chosen our family to adopt her baby AND that she has a scheduled C-section for July 18 (possibly sooner)! Like, what?! We’re so grateful that she’s picked our family and we can’t wait to meet her soon!
As you can imagine, we are over the moon, yet, in complete shock by how fast this is all happening! Today, we’re just 11 days away from welcoming this miracle baby into our family. When we adopted Tatum, we had nearly 10 months to prepare and pay for the adoption expenses. Because of how quickly this is happening, this time, the money is needed a lot sooner, and to be honest, we could use some help.
1) Please pray that the 7 adoption grants we’ve already applied for get back to us in the next few days.
2) Let me know if you know anyone with connections to grants or other funding methods
3) Considered donating to our adoption fund and sharing it with anyone you know who has a heart for adoption
We are full of faith that God is in this and that He is going to provide. None of this is a surprise to Him. Not the timing, the adoption expenses, or the details surrounding this baby and his birth mom (that’s right, it’s another BOY!). Caleb and I trust that one way or another, He will make a way. He always has.
P.S. If you know anyone who would be interested in donating breastmilk, let me know

:: WE’RE ADOPTING! ::
We’re Caleb and Hannah and we’re really grateful that you’re taking the time to read our story.
In March of 2020, Hannah had to have an emergency hysterectomy immediately after giving birth to our son, Callen. This left us unable to have any more biological children on our own. While the reality was devastating, we believed God would make a way for us to continue to grow our family. Just two years later in 2022, our second son, Tatum, was born and he joined our family through the gift of adoption.
So here we are again, in 2024, praying about the future of our family, knowing that our hearts and our home have room for more. We've decided to take a leap of faith and start the process to adopt another baby! We're currently home study approved and waiting to be matched with an expectant mother. This could happen any day or a year from now.
The truth is, adoption is a huge financial undertaking. The average domestic infant adoption in the U.S. is currently between $40,000-$60,000 (this covers birth parent care, medical expenses, legal fees, agency fees, etc.). While that number is wildly high for us, we know first hand, it's nothing for God. We were able to adopt the first time because of the incredible generosity of friends, family, and grant organizations that supported us financially. When we look at Tatum, we're reminded of the faithfulness of God and the love and support from our community.
So, how can you help support our family?
First and foremost, please pray with us! We’re praying for God’s comfort and guidance, for our future baby's birth parent(s), and for God's provision as we apply for grants and raise funds.
Secondly, if you are willing and able, we appreciate any consideration to help us financially! Money donated will help cover the cost owed at the time of match and finalization of the adoption once the baby is born.
Lastly, we'd be honored if you shared our story! Over the last few years, we've found a lot of comfort connecting with other families facing similar challenges. We've even been able to meet other adoptive families and walk alongside friends in their own adoption journeys.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us in any way you can.
Love,
Caleb and Hannah
