CAH Helping Pets and Families Affected by Hurricane Helene

Our compassionate and gracious hospital practice owners, Dr. Zach Knight & Dr. Kevin Crabb, have joined up to assist a great group of local men on a calling to help support people and their pets affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Chase Animal Hospital has purchased 2 pallets of dog food and 1 pallet of cat food (over 3500# of pet food!) to send with Dr. Knight next weekend on his 4-day travels with several other men to carry much-needed supplies and cook meals for those displaced by the hurricane in western NC.

We have heard some clients commenting about wishing they could help, and we are thankful to be able to supply needed supplies to pets and their families affected by this tragedy. We appreciate the assistance provided by our local Hill's Pet Nutrition representative in getting these pallets of food to us in time to distribute to pets in areas where local supplies no longer exist for access to pet supplies.

After further discussion and appreciation for the generosity of donors, Drs. Crabb & Knight plan to contribute 100% of these funds raised to the people of NC instead of towards the pet food purchased. Funds will be transferred to the program Dr. Knight is working with to assist families in need.

Again, we are very thankful for our blessings and are grateful for the assistance to help others in need.

Additional information regarding the group Dr. Knight will be traveling with:

A group of 10 men are rolling out on Nov. 2 with literal truckloads of supplies to bless parts of western NC. Their calling started several weeks ago as a plan to travel to help feed people affected by the hurricane, with their original goal to cover the cost of 600 real steak dinners (roughly $5000) being quickly surpassed into a large sum of money raised for hurricane victims and numerous local businesses helping supply the food and supplies to help cook, hardware and sporting goods stores supplying equipment such as propane tanks and heaters to help in the coming winter months.
