Cage Family Adoption
Adoption is something we have felt drawn to for quite some time, however, until recently we never knew when the right time for us would be. As many of our friends and family know, the journey to grow our family has been incredibly challenging. Through struggling with infertility and eventually burying our beautiful firstborn daughter, Honor Ann, we have had to trust God with His divine plan for our family here on earth (and in heaven) while heavily relying on His sustaining grace to take each next step.
Recently, we have felt God telling us that now is the time and we are confident that adoption is the next step in our family’s journey. For us, adoption is a calling placed on our family by God and we are honored to answer in obedience. As christians, we believe that we have been adopted into the family of God and we are honored to glorify Him through this part of our family’s story.
Specifically, we are pursuing domestic infant adoption and we are excited to welcome a baby into our family someday soon. We are equally hopeful for the opportunity to love our child’s birth parent/s well through this process.
As we embark on this journey, we would like to invite our friends and family to partner with us. We believe that adoption isn’t simply an individual calling, rather it’s a calling God has placed on us as His Church. We know that we cannot do this alone and we need the support of our community as we obediently follow God’s plan for our family. Currently, our two greatest needs are financial generosity and faithful prayer. As always, we trust that God will provide everything we need to say “yes” to this journey and we are confident He will use the compassion and generosity of His people and our amazing community to make this adoption possible.
Finally, we ask you to join us in praying for our family as well as the birth family of our future child in the days ahead. The prayers of our friends and family have supported us through some of our darkest days and we know that your prayers will carry us through this journey as well.
