Cadyn's Fresh Start

For Marnie’s friends, you know she has had a hard almost 9 years now. Between getting diagnosed w/breast cancer and her husband getting hurt on the job shortly thereafter so it hasn’t been easy.
She recently got another job at Microsoft supporting an awesome female Corp VP in Gaming and she is absolutely loving it! She is truly holding on by a thread w/raising her 2 teenage boys, taking care of her husband who recently had another surgery and her 2 female boxers on her salary.
And that brings us to why she needs help. A very unexpected person came into her life. Her 13 year old son, Matt, is very good friends with a boy named Cadyn. Matt has been friends with Cadyn for quite awhile and he was living with a foster dad and other kids. He recently has been put back into the ‘system’ and she has made a very heartfelt connection with Cadyn. He has been put in a boys home in Seattle with a bunch of boys that have done time at juvy. That is not the place for Cadyn to be. He has reached out to Matt and Marnie asking if he could hang out at their house cause it is homey and Marnie cooks him anything he wants J
Three weeks ago Marnie let him stay the weekend in her home and the first thing she said when she saw him after she hugged him was, “Sweetie, would you like a haircut?” and he said, “yes, that would be nice.” Not that she has money for that but she did it anyway since she knew he needed one and it would make him feel loved and like a normal kid. Since then she has had him at her home each weekend because she knows it is the right thing for him and her family agrees.
She has started the process to foster Cadyn knowing that he needs a loving home and her family has all agreed he is loved in their home.
They don’t know if they will be approved yet but for now, she would like to get him some new clothes as he has borrowed items. She got him a binder for school and Matt has given him clothes. But she would really like to give him a better life. He came to one of Matt’s soccer games and she could tell he really wanted to play. He has never been part of a team and is really wanting that.
Please if you can, help support Marnie into giving Cadyn a better life and hopefully adopting him in the end. She heard tonight from Cadyn that he will be coming tomorrow to stay until background check is cleared since he can’t stay at the place he is after 45 days so she needs help with furniture and his own items.
She feels she is paying if forward for all the love and support she has gotten over the years but needs help to really give Cadyn a loving family.
