The Foster Galley at Agape Innercity Community
Health disparities and hunger within our community are on the rise. Many of our community residents are suffering from heart disease, diabetes, stroke and so much more. In relatively young African Americans other diseases e.g., High Blood Pressure (hypertension), Cancer, and Peripheral Artery Disease, are now attributed to lifestyle choices; whereas Sickle Cell Disease is inherited but can now be treated through medicine and lifestyle choices.
With your support, we'll be able to “tackle” certain health issues, that are a struggle for individuals within our community through the preparation of nutritional foods at the Foster Galley and by offering educational sessions/trainings on health and nutrition. Every dollar raised on or before October 31, 2023, will be a 2:1 ratio toward the $65,000 challenge grant.
We are presenting a $65,000 challenge grant, to renovate and repair “the Galley”, dedicated to the first African American Cadet, who graduated in 1970, from the Citadel. Upon completion, “the Galley”, kitchen meets DHEC requirements, before year’s end.
Please assist us! No gift is too small! All gifts are tax-deductible (Fed. ID #57-090002)

Our goal is to raise $65,000 by October 31, 2023, which will assist us in serving 45,000 meals in 2023-2024 through various activities, for the elderly, at-risk children, single heads of households, and those disenfranchised persons in our community!
