Cade has a severe epilepsy gene mutation. SCN1a. Cade just turned 2 and has had quite the battle already. He started having seizures as a baby which has effected him in more ways than you can imagine.
Cade needs care 24/7 as his seizures are now ~every 2 weeks. His seizures are all status (long term) and needing hospitalization every time. His SCN1a gene mutation is considered irretractable epilepsy and his anti-epileptic medications have not worked. He has failed 3 different medications and his caregivers are now researching different options and what rout to take next...
Cade’s Aunt and Uncle have created this page to inform the community about Cade’s story. As a community we can encourage, uplift, and lend a helping hand when and where needed to help this sweet family out. The money raised will help cover his medications that aren't fully covered by insurance and help purchase an alert system(s) for night time that will alert his parents. If additional funds are raised over and above our goal, these funds will be used to help cover expenses of hospital trips and rooms, ambulance rides, and therapy care.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and ways to support Cade in his journey. There is a long road ahead of the unknown... Let's give Cade the chance for a longer and better life!
