Cabildo Cuna & Cultura: Este esfuerzo busca recaudar fondos para ayudar a familias vulnerables y al gremios de musicos más afectadas por COVID-19 en La Guajira y Palenque, cunas de cultura de Colombia.
Los problemas que afectan La Guajira y Palenque vienen desde mucho antes que el virus llegara a nuestras vidas y las cambiara y afectaría tan radicalmente. Para muchas familias en La Alta Guajira y en La Provincia del departamento, igual que a grupos musicales en Palenque.
Estamos viendo como el gremio cultural no tiene el apoyo suficiente para sustentar a sus familias en estos momentos en donde para este sector, la vida depende de viajar y compartir su arte y sus presentaciones. Estos grupos de música tradicional ya vienen de una situación precaria, en modo “supervivencia” y en estos momentos de encierro, los que podamos usar nuestras plataformas y donar físicamente, tenemos la oportunidad de ayudar directamente a la cultura de La Guajira, familias e indígenas Wayuu ahora, están en estado de emergencia, el tiempo para unirnos, es ya.

This group looks to raise funds to help the most vulnerable families affected by COVID-19 in the Guajira Peninsula and Palenque de San Basilio in Colombia, cradles for art and culture in the country of Colombia.
The issues and problems affecting La Guajira have existed way long before the current pandemic affected the world. For most families in La Guajira, the issues faced by families across the world are ones faced on the daily, for the last 70 years, and those issues, including lack of access to water, food and education have been amplified due to COVID-19. Through the organization FUERZA MUJERES WAYUU and through personal and private donations we are helping the culture sector of La Provincia, or the southern hemisphere of La Guajira, where agriculture and music are their biggest trade. In this sector of the peninsula, families are running out of crop and unable to leave the mountain for fear of contagion, are unable to sell or buy any groceries. Due to political turmoil, in addition to tensions between armed forces and the military, it is not safe or reliable to send funds to a certain organization in this part of the country, so we are creating this group to allocate funds to http://notiwayuu.blogspot.com/ and the group or Gremio de Musicos, spear headed by local musician More Ovalle from the village of La Guajira.
The time to be united as citizens of the world is now, the time to help indigenous people world-wide is now when so many of our governments are failing, I, as a Wayuu artist, want to use my platform to help in any way I can, i hope you can do it too.
