Hi all. I’m Cohen and I'm writing on behalf of the Rosado Family, and about my dad Erik Rosado. On Sunday, November 26th my dad fell ill with pancreatitis. After a couple of surgeries and some complications, my dad passed away just 3 days later, Wednesday, November 29. We’ve all been in shock and completely heartbroken since. My dad was an incredible father. He was the man I looked up to and aspired to be, the husband my stepmom loved and cherished, the son my nana was so proud of, and the twin brother and best friend to my uncle Mark. We all loved him so much. One of my favorite things about my dad is how selfless he was when it came to us. One of my last memories with my Dad is one to be cherished forever. It was the last time I saw him completely healthy. I got home after a 6 hour work shift and I see my dad sitting on the living-room couch. We end up talking for hours, just lighthearted conversation. At first, I was ungrateful for it. I was tired and just wanted to sleep. Now I would do anything to just sit down and talk with him again.
He worked so hard to give us everything we needed, and always made time to teach us, and prepare us for when we went out on our own. I can’t begin to tell you the void he’s left in all of us. As I’m sure you can imagine, there will be medical bills that will start pouring in, a mortgage that will need to be paid, and other home bills that my stepmom will now need to cover. So I’m writing in hopes that we can collect some money to help ease things for a bit so she can grieve without the fear of how she will pay the bills, since my dad was the primary provider. If you’re able to help with a little or with a lot, either way we thank you. The pain of losing my dad is a lot for all of us. If you could also pray for us, we would greatly appreciate it. We’re asking God to shower us with his love and comfort. Grief is hard, and it comes in waves. Being covered in prayers means that we can rest knowing that not only do we have a huge support group of people that care about us, but the knowledge that God is present and is helping us through this loss. So thank you. Thank you for getting this far, for donating if you can, and for your prayers. It truly means more than we could express.
