I am the father: Mahmoud Gamal Lotfi El Sebakhy

My firstborn child, whose name is: Gamal Mahmoud Gamal El Sebakhy, suffers from a lack of urinary control and feces due to problems in the spinal cord (according to the medical description: spinal cord injury)

Here is my story:

It started on the day my wife "Abeer" gave birth to my first child, Jamal, something unexpected happened during the birth process, as it was difficult and worrisome and the survival rate was almost indescribable..

Hours passed during the birth process, as my son Gamal Mahmoud Gamal El Sebakhy came into the world suffering from problems that occurred immediately after birth and according to the medical opinion, the matter was as follows:

"A fatty cyst under the spine" and there was a meeting between the doctors on how to act correctly in order to save my son, as the unified opinion of all of them was that he should immediately undergo surgery despite all the risks in the struggle for survival for life.

Indeed, my son Jamal underwent surgery immediately after his birth (according to the description of the health and medical condition: spinal cord injury: spina bifida), and the operation was successful. However, there were many complications and ongoing health problems in his relatively unstable condition due to the impact and damage resulting from the spinal cord problems, as he reached the age of ten and still suffers from lack of control over urine and stool and the inability to sense the nervous system in addition to slowing down the growth process.. and until now he is still living on diapers and medications responsible for strengthening the nerves and also laxatives for the body to facilitate biological excretion processes.

And because of the health condition he suffers from, the matter developed to include severe psychological damage and problems, including preferring solitude and lack of movement over playing, as you know, children of his age love to play and have fun and discover everything around them.. but in Jamal's current condition.. I feel very worried because he is far from the normal behavior and conduct of a child.. and what makes matters worse is his exposure to bullying by the children around him.

I cannot express the amount of pain I am going through describing his condition.. Every time I see him, I know very well what he is suffering from and what he might be thinking of from feelings of fear and excessive nervousness from the idea of ​​wearing diapers instead of doing the defecation process normaly like other children.

You understand the feelings of fatherhood in a situation like mine.. Don't you?!

As a father, I did everything I could to complete his treatment journey, but after the events that Gaza has gone through and is still going through now, the issue of treatment and the circumstances have become indescribably difficult.

After repeated displacement operations and material losses in all aspects and the loss of place and losses and so on.. I no longer have the financial ability to provide the money that would complete Jamal's treatment journey.

In light of the difficult treatment conditions, the issue of treatment requires a large amount of money.. as Jamal's condition requires very special care and very expensive supplies in the current situation..

So I am here now with the feelings of a fatherhood and a motherhood, asking everyone who can feel my circumstances.. and Jamal's circumstances.. to help!
