Hi everyone,
My name is Milena Mailyan. I am an active member of the Armenian American community in Los Angeles, California, a mother of two beautiful children, and an immigration attorney. Most importantly, a person, like all of you, who is impacted by the pandemic known as COVID-19.
As you may have heard, all Armenian Genocide commemorative events have been canceled due to California Governor Gavin Newsom's stay-at-home orders to bend the curve of further infection of the coronavirus and save all our lives. With that being said, I believe we still have an opportunity to show our strength as a community. This time, it will not be with our physical presence in numbers, but by uniting online starting from right now to help Armenia fight COVID-19.
As such, I would like to start a new challenge and urge every one of you to please join me. This challenge is a fundraising campaign. It is more serious and important than the ones in the past because it will affect the lives of so many of our brothers and sisters living in Armenia. I would like to see us come together as a strong community and help Armenia fight a common, but an invisible enemy.
I am asking for a $15 donation to provide much needed assistance to Armenia. Every dollar, without any exceptions, will be directly delivered to the Ministry of Health of Armenia to purchase personal protective equipment, ventilators, and other necessary medical supplies and equipment.
My goal is to collect $50,000. This amount can make a big difference for Armenia in these unstable economic times.
So, please join me in making this happen. Share and tag your friends, families, peers, colleagues, and fellow community members. Let's come together as a community just like we would if we were marching in the thousands on April 24th.
Should you have any questions or concerns about this campaign, please feel free to contact me at [email redacted]. I will do my best to provide timely responses to all your inquiries.
