Hey eveyeone, I'm not one to ask for help, but I financially cannot afford this unforeseen and important cost for my little family.

Without going into detail for personal reasons. I've been going back and forth to court to ensure an existing protection order stays in place for myself, but now mainly my children. Turns out I shouldn't have had to even go through all the proceedings I've already done according to California Family Legal Code.

I shouldn't have to hire a lawyer to represent myself in court, but unless I bring one to my hearing, it's been made very clear they are not going to renew the protection order (which is against the law by the way.)

The lawyer I found was referred by an old friend and she giving me a AMAZING deal to help me resolve this issue. She's reviewed my file, and showing up to court with me to guarantee this proceeding is granted so I can have peace for myself and children.

My lawyer is only charging me $500, but that's not money I don't have at this time. I'm currently transitioning and getting back on my feet as I adjust to being a single mom.

Anything helps! If I only raise a couple bucks, that's less debt I have to pay off. I know everyone is financially hurting right now, but this was definitely not a planned cost for me and from the bottom of my heart I appreciate every cent.
