Early in the morning on December 28, 2024, Sara and her pups' lives were changed forever. She woke up at 7 a.m. to a room full of smoke. She was able to wake up her partner, her roommates, and get her dogs out of the house before it was completely engulfed with fire and smoke.
Seattle Fire Dept were fast to arrive and were able to keep the fire from spreading to any of our neighbors. Luckily, some of Sara's special personal belongings were able to be saved, but sadly the house is not salvageable.
She has temporary housing for her and the dogs at the moment but will need help in the upcoming months restarting her life. Unfortunately she does not have insurance so everything is a loss. Sara gives everything she can to her loved ones and I hope we can all help return the favor and help her in this time of need.

::Update from Sara on 1/2/25::
First of all, I just want to say again that I appreciate every single person who has reached out and checked in with me. I'm struggling but I know it will be ok. I'm just taking each day one at time and counting my blessings.
Second, Many people have asked how they can help. I think the biggest help in this moment is to share the gofundme that Roslyn set up. I'm on hold from working for a minute until I can figure out how I'm going to be able to handle working. I am staying more than an hour away from my job. I might not have a place to call my own home for awhile. Right now all donations are helping to get a few things for my dogs, some personal care items, help with gas and when it come time it's going to help with move in costs. I would also like help my roomates to replace a few of their things too.
My house is going to have to be torn down. The fire compromised the structure pretty badly. The basement got burnt up along with my entire kitchen and bathroom. Most of the house has water, smoke and insulation covering it from tearing the ceilings down. I don't know the future of it at this time.
I'm very home sick. I miss my bed more than anything. I know my doggos miss their pellet stove and beds. I miss my roomates too.
I'm all over the place right now, we are sorting through what we were able to get out right now. Going from and entire house to a few boxes has been so overwhelming.
Thank you all so damn much for the love and support. It truly means so much to me.
