Sponsor to help me get to Kenya!

Hi, My name is Tara Tuohy and I'm currently a Transition year student at Sutton Park School. I am hoping to fulfill an ambition to learn more about different cultures, get involved in environmental initiatives and help to support local communities in a less-developed community by volunteering in Kenya during a 3-week trip with Projects Abroad this May.
Kenya is an underdeveloped country in Africa. The schools in Kenya are underfunded and under-resourced and I will be supporting students in communities in need. We will be running educational activities for young children to support their early childhood development. As well as working in the community, Kenya has wonderful wildlife, and we will be assisting Conservationists in the protection of endangered species such as the Rothchild’s Giraffe and lions in the Soysambu Conservancy. I will be learning about the challenges that are facing local people in Kenya’s towns and rural areas. I will be understanding the problems and impact caused by poaching on Kenya’s wildlife.
In order to participate in this project, I will need to raise a total sum of €3,295 to cover my fees. I would be extremely grateful if you would consider sponsoring me to join this project.
I hope you agree that this is a worthwhile undertaking, and I would certainly keep you updated on its progress!
