Bring Rosalynn Home: Rosalynn Do Memorial Fund

Hi,

 We’re friends and family of Rosalynn Do fundraising for funds to help pay for her funeral expenses.

Rosalynn Do left us on August 25th, 2022.

She was diagnosed with Lupus as a teenager and has fought a tough battle. She was in and out of the hospital for the last several weeks due to a lupus flare-up. Shortly after, she experienced chest pains with difficulties breathing and doctors discovered multiple blood clots in her lungs, an issue she has experienced before. She was given oxygen tanks to help her breathe until she could come back for a consultation for surgery to remove the blood clots.

On 8/24/2022, the night before her consultation, she was rushed to the hospital again as she wasn’t able to breathe. On 8/25/2022, the doctors decided to skip the consultation altogether and proceed with the surgery. We were told the surgery was a success and her mother waited for her to be transferred to the recovery room, but shortly after Rosalynn experienced complications post-surgery and her heart rate dropped. She couldn't be revived and was pronounced unresponsive. The family is still waiting for the full autopsy report but would like to keep it private.

 She moved to Austin, TX early this year, and the family would like to bring her back home to California, where she can be close to her family and friends. We are deeply saddened and shocked because she was still so young and full of life.

 Lupus (Systemic Lupus Erthematosus) is a condition that affects the immune system. There is no cure for Lupus at present and the body mistakenly attacks healthy parts of your body. It is not fully understood why it happens. A high percentage of people can live with Lupus under management....sadly this wasn't the case and the damage to her organs was too great.

 The donation proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the transportation costs of bringing Rosalynn's remains back home to California and for her funeral expenses. We will update this page once we gather more information on each milestone reached. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have.
