Thank you for your heart to check-in, and send love to this incredible family, the Mastics. To know them is to love them, and to meet them is to be touched and blessed.
They have recently announced that their eldest daughter Sarah has been diagnosed with Leukemia. She has begun a month-long chemo treatment in the hospital, and will continue further treatments over the next couple of years. While I know many will pray, bake, send cards, or babysit, some will want to give in this way. In whatever way you choose.... thank you. This is simply a platform for the Mastic community (old and new) to have a place to give in which direct access is given to the family to use as they need.
AJ & Megan's church community, Pathfinder, has already been amazingly generous: ensuring that AJ has full salary assurance, giving the Mastic kids full scholarships for school tuition, and a commitment to relieve the burden of out-of-pocket medical expenses over the next two years. Incredible! If you are a member of Pathfinder, you have already contributed through your generosity to Pathfinder. Thank you!
Going forward, with the Mastic's medical expenses already taken care of, there is a need to help with unanticipated family expenses. The Mastics are now looking at keeping Megan out of the workforce over the next year so that she can be more hands on with Sarah, who will be immunocompromised and require extra attention for her recovery, regular transportation for medical treatments, and school work. Such funds could be used to offset Megan's lost income, gas money, and as the Mastics see fit for whatever needs may arise. Your generosity is appreciated!

The Mastics live out a love for community everywhere they go, and build it in a way that is unseen in many homes. If you know them, you have seen or felt it. And sweet Sarah Mastic is shining proof of the love her parents have poured into her. I pray this donation will soften a burden and lessen a stress while AJ and Megan continue to shine, lead, and support their children through this season.
Please leave your gifts, encouragement and prayers below as you feel called.
