Raising money for mental health awareness

Hello my name is Jake Shaylor, an athlete of Rawr fitness brand. I shall be be doing a sponsored competition on 25th June 2022, in aid of raising awareness for mental health after loosing Taylor Moore whom took his own life this year. I thought I would take it upon myself to bring awareness that your not alone. I want to do this as it’s something which is close to my own heart and understand how many people out there are struggling with mental health and want them to know they aren’t alone.

The money that has been raised will be announced at the end of the competition and the proceeds will go to “Men walking and talking” (Facebook and on Instagram so please support with following) whom we are working with for this good cause.

I’ve chosen “Men walking and talking” because myself I know it’s hard to open up especially when you feel as a man you shouldn’t show emotion, Men walking and talking organise group walks in different areas where like minded men/boys can meet up for a social and if they feel ready they can talk to each other and not feel judged everyone is there to help each other no matter what your going through. 

The lads at Rawr fitness brand (which was started by my older brother Marcus Shaylor) have been in contact with the guys at the chosen charity and they are most grateful for the support that ourselves and yourselves are putting your money towards. Together we will make a difference.

I also want to say a massive thank you for the organisers down at Flexible fitness who are hosting the competition for letting myself complete and be supportive to the good cause.

Which also leads me to a massive thank you to Lewis the owner of In2shape where I train for the support throughout my training and also having a donation tin in the gym. 

All the support means a lot to myself and the men at men walking and talking, any amount donatedwill be greatly appreciated for this good cause,
