I believe in the power of connection - between people, animals, and nature. That's why I'm raising funds to start a Therapeutic Riding Program and Sensory Farm Yard that will offer healing, joy, and inclusive outdoor experiences for ALL.
My vision:
A welcoming, fully accessible space where horses, farm animals (chickens, goats), gardens, and nature work together to create meaningful experiences. Through therapeutic riding, sensory exploration, and gentle farm-based activities, participants will build confidence, improve motor and social skills, and enjoy the mental wellness that comes from connecting with animals and the outdoors.
Who We're Helping:
- Our community as a whole - this will be a centre for all
- Children and adults with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities
- Seniors in retirement and long-term care who crave connection and activity
- Families seeking inclusive, community-based programs that make a difference
- School field trips for outdoor education programs.
What the Funds Will Support:
- Adaptive riding equipment and horse tack
- Safe and accessible walkways
- Mounting ramp for wheelchair bound riders
- Animal shelters, fencing, and enrichment tools
- Insurance, program development, and instructors
